Lassi Laitinen is out for today’s optional skate. He’s day to day due to a case of cartoon flue: sneezing all the time and nose flowing like Niagara. Add to that slight out-of-breathness during breakfast preparations. He doesn’t have a hot water bottle on his head and a quicksilver thermometer in his mouth.
“I have to skip this”, he said.
“Gotta get some work done with my wrister before the Spring Classic, don’t know where, don’t know when.”
